Devikulam

Legends say that Goddess Sita, Lord Rama's wife, bathed in a pond here. And thus the name – 'devi' means goddess and 'kulam' means pond. A temple has been built here in her memory. Devikulam is 16km from Munnar and is a popular hill station for holidays.

There is an island in the middle of the lake and as well as a lodge. With prior permission from the Tata Tea Office, you can go fishing on the lake. Verdant tea plantations and the Pallivasal Waterfalls form the natural boundaries on two sides.
